Papaya Skin Saver Smoothie

Delicious papaya is an excellent source of antioxidant Vitamin A. Vitamin A helps improve acne and rebuild tissues while keeping fine lines, wrinkles and dull skin at bay. Boost this smoothie with more skin foods like strawberries, which contain more Vitamin C than oranges! Vitamin C is associated with fewer wrinkles and less age-related dry skin, while fighting free radicals that lead to fine lines and collagen loss. This tasty, refreshing and cool smoothie is not only a thirst quencher but a skin saver!


1/2 medium-sized papaya, seeds scraped

1/2 banana

1 cup frozen strawberries

2 celery stalks

juice from one small orange (or 2 tangerines)

cup almond milk

1 Tbs. ground flaxseed (optional)


1. Using a spoon, scrape the flesh from the papaya and discard the skin. Add all of the remaining ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.

2. Serve and enjoy!
