Green Zucchini Smoothie
Hi everyone! Maria here from Spinach for Breakfast.
Happy New Year! Hope everyone is having a great start to 2019. The new year is often a time where people like to “reset,” make resolutions and healthy lifestyle changes. When I think about getting back to a healthier routine, I bring it back to the basics!
I stick to clean whole foods, beauty products with natural ingredients and incorporate movement into my daily routine. It’s the easiest way to make realistic healthy changes that I can stick to. Green smoothies have been a healthy habit I have been incorporating for years.
Recently, I started adding zucchini to my smoothies in the morning and I’m hooked! Not only am I decreasing the sugar, but I’m getting more veggies in during the day. And you can’t even taste it! I like to chop and steam my zucchini ahead of time so it’s easier to digest. Then I freeze it so it makes my smoothie nice and thick when I am blending :-)
INGREDIENTS:
10oz nut milk
Two big handfuls of greens (spinach/kale/mixed greens)

Big handful of frozen zucchini
1 spoonful of nut butter of choice
1 scoop of chocolate plant based protein
