4 Beauty Shortcuts to Perfect Skin
Although Odacité firmly believes skincare should be a self-love ritual and a moment for deep breaths, relaxation and reflection, we understand we all have those moments—when we need to expedite the beauty!
You won’t always have time to double-cleanse, use multiple masques or maybe you have an event to attend after work and need a quick fix.
Keep reading below for our favorite shortcuts to beauty without compromise.
1. Refresh with a facial mist: Whether it’s hot, humid, windy or just right, it’s no secret that your makeup cannot stay pristine throughout the day thanks to sweat, oil production, heat and pollution. Spritz your face throughout the day to maintain your perfect morning dew, after a workout or beach day to refresh and restore perfect skin pH, while traveling to stave off dryness or as a final touch on top of makeup for radiance.
2. Use your exfoliator as a cleanser: If you’ve pressed the snooze button one too many times and are rushing to work, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Although you’d normally cleanse your face followed by a nice, leisurely exfoliating session, you can get away with just using a gentle exfoliator to wash off extra oil and slough off those dead skin cells for an instantaneous glow. Exfoliating also makes your skincare treatments absorb more deeply and your makeup apply more seamlessly.
3. Cocktail your face mask: If you can hardly find time to squeeze in a pamper session once a week but have multiple skin concerns going on all at once, use a masque treatment that multitasks just as well as you do. Instead of making due with one mask that only addresses half of your skin’s concerns, apply a formula that gives you a customized skincare experience in less than 15 minutes.
4. Sleep for beauty: One of the best anti-aging prescriptions we can prescribe you is to get plenty of high-quality rest (at least 7 hours). But to make most of your beauty sleep, make sure you thoroughly cleanse your face every night -- no exceptions -- to remove pore-clogging, wrinkle-producing particles. Also, get into the habit of sleeping on your back so your pillow doesn’t gradually encourage wrinkle formation over time. Invest in a silk or satin pillowcase, as they are much gentler on your skin and hair. Debris that accumulates on your pillow can also suffocate your pores, so replace the case every week or more.
