Q: What inspired you to start your own Youtube channel?
I started my channel when I was working with Maxim Magazine as a on-camera host. I thought it was important to put out more content to keep my audience engaged since the videos and photos for Maxim were only once a month.
After I left Maxim, I took a break from Youtube for a couple years and relaunched it to what it is now.
Q: What advice do you have for college graduates?
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to figure out what you’re going to do for the rest of your life. I didn’t have a clear path until my 30’s. Follow your path but be open to signs that might take you in a different direction.
Q: How do you balance having your own brand and huge social media following with your personal life?
I learned years ago not to overshare when it comes to personal relationships. Once you let people in, they feel entitled to every aspect of your relationship - even when you don’t want to share anymore. If your followers really respect you, they will respect your decision to not talk about it.
Q: Let’s talk skin… we are dying to know what your approach to skincare is?
I love a good oil. Not just for my face but also my body. It really penetrates my skin and leaves me with a moisturized glow. I’m all about that natural glow since I normally don’t wear makeup. I also love products with Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid and peptides in it.
Q: What are your everyday skincare rituals that are non-negotiable?
Face wash morning and night, skin oil and sunscreen plus a Gua Sha face massage at night.
Q: Can you share your favorite Odacité products (and why).
Aventurine Kiss Lip Serum was my very first Odacité product and was gifted to me by Katey Denno, the queen of non toxic beauty. It’s so nourishing and I’m secretly becoming insecure about my lip area so I like that I can use it for the lines around my lip area.
