Ginger Turmeric Tea Remedy For Cold & Flu
From holiday parties, gift shopping and traveling - it is no doubt one of the busiest and joyous times of the year for many. However, that also means it is the season of sniffles, cough and fevers.
The great all natural remedy for an unwanted cold, flu or winter sickness I am sharing today is this fresh Ginger Turmeric Tea recipe.
Ginger is known to have antibiotic effects and can help bring down inflammation, clear congestion and support the immune system. Turmeric is a very strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. Lemon adds an extra boost of vitamin C and Manuka honey heals digestive imbalances while stopping the growth of sore throat-causing Strep bacteria.
I hope this remedy does wonder for those of you feeling under the weather. Feel better soon!
Ingredients:
8 ounces hot water
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tablespoon raw Manuka honey
1 to 2-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
1 teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
How-To:
In a small saucepan, put ginger, turmeric and water and bring to a boil. Cover and let simmer for about 20 minutes. Next add lemon, honey, and cinnamon. Let sit for a few minutes. Enjoy.
