6 Simple Ways To Live More Sustainably

Sustainability has always been at the heart of everything we do here at Odacité. From our packaging to sourcing, we ensure that we are doing our best to ensure that our planet’s future is bright. Beyond skincare, we incorporate these little things daily to minimize our footprint and maximize our happy earth. Join us by following these 6 simple ways to live more sustainably…

01. Turn off the water while you are washing your hands and face or brushing your teeth.
Did you know that those two to three minutes without the sink on could save two to three gallons of water each day? That’s a total of 21 gallons per week… And you are just one person!

03. Unplug.
Can you think of how often you leave things plugged into outlets? Whether it is your laptop charger that is no longer charging or your toaster, energy is being constantly wasted.

04. Find safer alternatives.
Toilet paper is a must, but have you ever thought about the contents of the roll? Bamboo is an eco-friendly alternative to the standard paper that requires 17 trees and 90,921 litres of water for one ton of toilet paper.

05. Limit the clothing you purchase.
If you wouldn’t wear an outfit more than once, then don’t buy it. Being conscious of the clothing brands we choose as well as the quantity we are purchasing is so important as fashion is one of the most polluting industries.

06. Use a shampoo bar.
We’ve said it once and we will say it again. Our Shampoo Bar = 3 plastic bottles… That’s 60-80 washes. We named it 552M because 552 million plastic shampoo bottles end up in landfills every year. Use your favorite personal care products sans les plastic pollution.
