Skin Regimen: A Time for You

Unfortunately, stress has become omnipresent in our lives. According to the Academy of dermatology when both skin and stress are treated, the skin heals more quickly and completely as the influences of stress are diminished.

Here is how to turn your skin routine in a three minutes relaxation, morning and night. You will love the results!

We added some meaningful words on our bottles, not just to be pretty; they are there for YOU. Choose a word. It’ probably not a coincidence if you picked that one, let the meaning of it resonate in your body, mind and spirit, let it become the color of your day. Keep it in mind while you are doing your skin regiment.

Always celebrate yourself and treat yourself with loving care, please ban judgmental thoughts, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL NO MATTER WHAT!

MORNING REGIMEN:  ARISE AND SHINE!

Your day may be starting too early, a few more hours of sleep would be great, but you have to get up anyway! Already your mind is running around like mad thinking about all the things you have to do today. Maybe some old unfriendly thoughts are bringing down your energy!!

So step in your bathroom and leave all the thoughts behind the door and turn your skin routine in a mini-relaxation.

1/ Cleanse

While washing your hands take a few deep breaths, inhale/exhale. If you feel any tension in your body send the breath to that area. Feel your lungs expanding, oxygen is the one of best beauty treatments there is and it’s free, yet most of us have very shallow breathing.

Put a little Cleanser on your wet hands and massage it into the face and neck using soft circular upward strokes, keep breathing. Stimulate circulation and relax tense muscles by applying pressure to areas that are particularly vulnerable to the development of lines (mouth, upper cheek and forehead) by pressing and releasing.  Add water to help work the cleanser into the skin and release impurities.  Be gentle, don’t pull or stretch your skin, touch your skin with gentle loving care.

Take a facial sponge moistened with tepid water in each hand. Start at the center of your brow and rinse gently but thoroughly swiping toward the outside of your face, down to your ears and down the sides of the face and neck. Keep rinsing this way always starting from the center of your face. This will encourage lymph circulation and help reduce puffiness and give your skin a healthy glow. Pat dry.

If in season follow with a fresh mist of organic floral water, the cool floral water will promote healing, giving moisture and nutrients back to your skin, let it dry or wipe off with a clean cotton ball.

2/ Apply your day Moisturizer:

- Apply a few drops of Eye Contour, remember that the skin around the eye is one of the most sensitive areas of the body. Apply by patting starting from the inner corner of the eye and outward around the eye area with your baby finger (little finger) then smooth it over.

- Apply your moisturizer in a gentle upward circular motion or as described in the rinsing process if you enjoy the lymphatic massage of your face. Remember never to pull or stretch your skin.

Your skin will feel relaxed, alive and awakened, and hopefully so will you.

At lunch time, or some time during the day, take a break and go for a five minute walk around your block, for those who practice yoga a few sun salutations are very rejuvenating. Do whatever it takes to simply reconnect with yourself, away from other’s demands.

NIGHT REGIMEN : A MOMENT TO RELAX

Makes those few minutes your own to unwind from the day, remember that a few deep breaths can do so much for you. Pick a different word from the morning if you feel like a change or keep the same one, just be with it for the few minutes that follow.

Use the same protocol as in the morning, just use your Night Time serum.

Soon the words you choose every day will be more present in your life; such is the rule of attraction and manifestation.

But don’t stress out: if you rush through your routine, it still works!

And never forget that some of the best skin boosters are actually free: sleep and fresh air.
